Sydenham (Crystal Palace Parade) Fire Station was operational from 1869 until 1914. From c1921 until 1968 the buildings were used as Crystal Palace staff residences.
An area immediately behind the fire station was used as a camping and caravan site for visitors to the 1951 Festival of Britain.
