Legacies and Donations

Whilst the day-to-day finances of The Crystal Palace Foundation (CPF) are met by our income from members' subscriptions and from shop sales, we do regularly try to take advantage of opportunities that come our way and may involve a modest capital outlay. Over the last few years we have contributed towards the purchase of a collection of photographs by the renowned Victorian photographer Philip Henry Delamotte and republished the English Heritage book on the subject, the purchase of the Raffaelle Monti Archive of drawings and correspondence, the Crystal Palace Company Showboard and most recently the Gray & Davison archive of Organ photographs.

We have also received cash donations to help with our work excavating The Crystal Palace Aquarium.

Because of our charitable status we are not able to build up large reserves of cash but we are able to accept bequests which are placed in a designated account, which we then use either as directed by the donor, or as the Board of Trustees deem appropriate if the donor did not provide a stipulation.

If you would like to make a monetary donation to the CPF funds, you can do this from the Donations page in our shop.

If you would like to leave a Legacy or gift to The Crystal Palace Foundation but have already made a will, you can still do so by making a simple addition to your will, by way of a codicil. By doing this, you can include new instructions and delete old ones without having to go through the task of revoking and re-making the whole will.

We regularly receive donations of personal archives of the Crystal Palace in memory of loved ones. We add these to our ever growing collection of Crystal Palace memorabilia for future generations and research purposes. A sample of items donated and purchased can be found at: http://www.crystalpalacefoundation.org.uk/collections/

If you would like to discuss a Legacy or make a donation of archives please email me at crystalpalacefoundation@hotmail.com or telephone me on 07889 338812.

Thank You
