A rare surviving example of a Crystal Palace advertising display made of plaster and horse hair probably in Germany sometime before 1911.

There is a label on the reverse with the following printed in faded red:

The known history of this panel dates from 26 November 1986 when it was purchased by an unknown buyer at the Christie's Crystal Palace Commemoration Auction Sale in London. It's location was not then known until it was purchased by the Crystal Palace Foundation in March 2012.
